Recall - There is a recall for 2015 Ford Expeditions for a coolant leak due to faulty water pump and or other related issues, recall was called in 2017. I just had my 2015 Ford Expedition in the shop for a coolant leak (same issue as recall) and paid $1800 plus $2300 to have it repaired. I had the dealership check my vin to see about the recall and they said my vehicle is not included. I would like to know why my vehicle has the same issue as the recall but it not included in the recall. My vehicle would go begin to overheat and go into a fail safe midst driving. It would stop in the middle of the road while I was driving. I just want to know why my vehicle is not included in this recall when it is having the same problem as the ones that were recalled.

I was driving and going around 45mph when the wrench warning light came on and I lost the ability to accelerate. The car could only coast. I was able to coast to a parking lot. I turned off the car and restarted it. It seemed fine so I drove home. The same thing happened again a couple of days later. We checked the codes and it had a p2112 error code. We replaced the throttle body and it seems fine now. However this is the second time we have had to replace the throttle body. The same thing happened in 2018 with about 74000 miles on the car. We replaced the throttle body then also. From internet searches this seems to be a common problem. It is a big safety issue since the car loses the ability to accelerate unexpectedly. I was lucky I was able to coast out of the way each time without causing an accident.

Driving 45mph the stuttered quickly and the wrench symbol appeared on the dashboard. I had to put the car in Neutral and tranisted to the shoulder of the road, stopped and turned the vehicle off. This is not the first time this has happened. It happened to my wife and my daughter at separate times also.
