Issue: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V vehicles manufactured October 6, 2003, to March 15, 2007, and 2006-2007 Cadillac STS-V vehicles manufactured June 23, 2005, to March 15, 2007. In the affected vehicles, the electrical terminals of the fuel pump module may overheat resulting in the melting of the flange material.
Risk: If the flange melts, a hole may be created allowing the fuel pump to leak fuel, causing the vehicle to stall, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. Additionally, leaking fuel in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel module and fuel tank jumper harness, free of charge. GM sent out interim notices in late October. The recall began on March 12, 2015. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. GM's number for this recall is 14405.

Issue: ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE REAR AXLE PINION SEAL DOES NOT MEET ALL OF THE SPECIFICATIONS AND MAY EXPERIENCE A FLUID LEAK.
Risk: A REAR DIFFERENTIAL FAILURE MAY CAUSE LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER AND POSSIBLY LOSS OF CONTROL INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE PINION SEAL FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 1, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CADILLAC AT 1-800-458-8006 OR HTTP://WWW.CADILLAC.COM; PONTIAC AT 1-800-620-7668 OR HTTP://WWW.PONTIAC.COM; AND SATURN AT 1-800-972-8876 OR HTTP://WWW.SATURN.COM.

The vehicle experiences a Shift-to-Park malfunction in which it does not consistently recognize that it is in Park, despite being physically shifted into the Park position. When this occurs, the vehicle may fail to shut down properly or behaves as if it is not securely in Park. The condition is reproducible and occurs during normal use. The issue first appeared in approximately mid-2024 at an estimated mileage of 80,000–85,000 miles and continues to occur. No crash or collision has occurred. However, the defect involves core powertrain and electrical systems and presents safety concerns related to reliable gear recognition and vehicle shutdown. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request.
Air bag on the steering wheel has oozing glue that oozed/leaked out of the airbag and has hardened on outer cover! Lights and radio don’t disconnect or turn off when car is turned off and drain battery.
THE SERVICE AIRBAGS WARNING APPEARED ON MY CAR. IT WAS JUST PARKED FOR 2 DAYS AND WHEN I GOT IN IT TURNED ON. THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE THAT HAS OCCURRED WITH MULTIPLE PEOPLE.
ON MY WAY HOME TODAY THE SERVICE LIGHT AIRBAG COME ON STATING THAT THE AIRBAG NEEDS TO BE SERVICED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CADILLAC STS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN AN OCCUPANT WAS SEATED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG SENSOR DID NOT ILLUMINATE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXPERIENCING THE SAME SYMPTOM AS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V644000 (AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SEAT SWITCH MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 169,000.
NHTSA CAMPAIGN #14V542000, RECALL ID #226957 - FUEL SYSTEM ISSUES, EFFECTIVE 03/12/2015. NOTIFIED BY CREDIT KARMA ON SUNDAY, 11/04/2018. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN 2011. WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AFTER FILLING THE GAS TANK THE NIGHT BEFORE. INITIALLY I THOUGHT PERHAPS IT WAS A BAD BATCH OF GASOLINE. I FILED A CLAIM AGAIN MY WARRANTY, REQUESTED INFORMATION FROM THOMAS PETROLEUM WHO CONFIRMED THERE WAS NO ISSUE WITH GASOLINE, WARRANTY COVERED REPAIR. THEN AGAIN IN 2016, I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE WITH FUELING SYSTEM. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED DIAGNOSTICS FROM AUTOZONE. I HAVE SINCE THEN PURCHASED ANOTHER VEHICLE AND 2007 CADILLAC STS PRESENTLY INOPERABLE. I WAS ADVISED OF RECALL FROM CREDITKARMA
2007 CADILLAC STS. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO DEFECTIVE COMPOSITE HEADLAMPS. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY WOULD FOG UP. THERE WAS TWO INCHES OF WATER BUILT UP IN THE ASSEMBLY DUE TO CONDENSATION. *JS
I WENT TO THE GAS STATION TO FILL A GAS. AFTER I FILLED THE CAR I SAW BIG SPOT UNDERNEATH OF MY CAR OF GASOLINE. I WENT UNDER THE CAR I SAW SOME GASOLINE COLOR ON THE FUEL TANK. THE DEALER REFUSED TO FIX IT UNDER THE CLAIMED RECALL.
LEFT HEADLIGHT FILLS WITH WATER DURING A RAINSTORM OR CAR WASH. HEADLAMP IS FOGGY WITH MOISTURE REDUCING THE LIGHT OUTPUT AND WILL CAUSE A PREMATURE HEADLAMP FAILURE.
AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND THE DIC INDICATES THE AIR BAG REQUIRES SERVICE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE PASSENGER PRESENCE SENSOR IN THE PASSENGER SEAT IS SHOT. THE AIR BAGS ARE DISABLED AND IT'S A THOUSAND DOLLAR REPAIR AT THE DEALER. RARELY DOES ANYBODY SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. IT APPEARS THAT THIS PASSENGER SIDE SENSOR IS A COMMON FAILURE IN OTHER GM MODELS AS WELL.
. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME OWNING A CADILLAC AND I MUST SAY I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! IT IS A 2007 STS SO IT IS OLDER BUT IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ONLY AROUND 65,000 MILES ON IT. HOWEVER I HAVE BEEN VERY RECENTLY DISAPPOINTED BY THE SERVICE RESPONSE FROM MY AIRBAG MALFUNCTION. I RECENTLY NOTICED MY AIR BAG LIGHT SENSOR WAS INTERMITTENTLY TURNING ON AND OFF AND IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT IT INTO EARNHARDT CADILLAC OF SCOTTSDALE FOR FEAR OF A SAFETY ISSUE. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM STEVEN FROM SERVICES WHO EXPLAINED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED BEFORE HE COULD EVEN FURTHER DIAGNOSE THE AIR BAG WIRING ISSUE. HE EXPLAINED THAT THE AIR BAG WOULD MOST LIKELY NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT. HE EXPLAINED THAT THE HARNESS ITSELF WOULD BE $485 AND ONLY ONCE HE REPAIRED THAT WOULD HE BE ABLE TO FURTHER EVALUATE THE AIR BAG ISSUE. I ASKED IF CADILLAC STANDS BEHIND THE REPAIR OF SUCH A SAFETY CONCERN AND HE SAID ONLY UNDER THE WARRANTY AND ALSO STATED THERE WAS NO RECALLS ON THIS CAR MODEL. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED TO HEAR A CAR WITH SUCH LOW MILEAGE WOULD HAVE SUCH A HORRIFIC SAFETY ISSUE THAT CADILLAC IS NOT WILLING TO REPAIR OR REPLACE. I'M REACHING OUT TO YOU TO SEE IF INDEED THAT IS THE CASE OR IF CADILLAC WOULD BE WILLING TO REPAIR THIS SAFETY HAZARD. I HAD A HONDA SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND THE AIR BAG WAS REPLACED IMMEDIATELY FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS. I'M HOPING CADILLAC WOULD STAND BEHIND ITS REPUTATION AND DO THE SAME. IT APPEARS AS IF THERE ARE SEVERAL IDENTICAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS CAR MODEL AND EVEN SOME HORRIFIC DAMAGE TO PASSENGERS WHEN THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THIS SAFETY ISSUE NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY.
AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AND IT'S COMMENT IN MANY

Over 5 years this costs $5,500 more in fuel than an average new vehicle.
